Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to use Talli, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, zoom or other assistive technology. This page says what we aim for, where we are today, and how to tell us about a problem.

Our goal

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA in the Talli web app at app.tallipet.com and in the Talli app for iPhone.

Where we are today

Talli partially conforms to WCAG 2.2 Level AA. This means some parts do not fully meet the standard yet.

We did an internal accessibility audit on October 2, 2026. It used automated checks (axe), keyboard-only testing, zoom to 400% and a review of the iPhone app with VoiceOver, Larger Text and Reduce Motion in mind. We are fixing what it found, and we will update this page as the fixes ship.

Known limitations:

  • Text contrast. Some smaller grey text, such as hints, dates and labels, is lighter than the standard asks for. We are making it darker.
  • Animations. Some screens in the iPhone app have moving backgrounds or looping video. They stop when Reduce Motion is on, but there is not yet a way to pause each one inside the app.
  • Form field edges. Some text fields have a light outline that can be hard to see.
  • iPhone app. Some error messages are not yet spoken by VoiceOver, some rows do not read all of their content, and some text does not grow fully with the largest Larger Text sizes.
  • Documents you upload. Veterinary PDFs and images come from your clinic. We cannot make the original files accessible, but the information Talli reads from them is shown as normal text in the app.

What works with Talli

  • Screen readers: VoiceOver on iPhone and Mac, and current screen readers with recent versions of Safari, Chrome, Edge and Firefox.
  • Keyboard: the web app is built to be used with a keyboard alone, and a "Skip to content" link starts each page with navigation.
  • Zoom: web app pages reflow at 400% zoom (a 320 pixel wide window) without scrolling sideways.
  • iPhone settings: VoiceOver, Larger Text (Dynamic Type) and Reduce Motion.
  • Videos in Talli have no speech, so they need no captions.

Other services

Some steps use services from other companies, such as payment with Stripe and sign-in with Apple or Google. Their screens are outside our control, but we will help you finish what you came to do.
